The big news this week in the AC/DC universe is the announcement of the band's first concerts in Japan on the Black Ice World Tour! Fans in Japan are celebrating the news of the shows. On March 12, 2010, AC/DC performs at the Saitama Super Arena, and on March 16, 2010, they head to the Kyocera Dome Osaka for another go. If any ACDC.com members are making it to the Japan shows, we definitely want to hear from you!  

Tickets for both shows go on sale Saturday, November 7 at 10:00 AM (local time). Remember, ACDC.com members receive special ticket access from a Fan Club-only allotment. Not a member? Join today for special access to tickets and more AC/DC than you can 'shake a leg' at.

Back in the USA, AC/DC is set to resume their tour tomorrow night at Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. As always, we want to hear your tales of mayhem and madness, so be sure to head to the Forums to share your memories (hazy as they may be) of the week's AC/DC gigs!

Halloween is fast approaching, and this holiday seems to bring out the devil in anyone. We're looking forward to seeing many Angus costumes duck-walking through the streets, but our question is, what's the best Acca Dacca Halloween costume you've ever seen? Post your pics and we'll have some swag to give out after October 31.

Remember, there's more than just Angus costumes out there...We want to see Rosies, we want to see problem children, we want to see dogs eating dogs, we want to see big balls! (OK maybe not the last one...) Be creative and you could have some new swag to sport for your efforts.

Check out the boys from the AC/DC tribute Live Wire, putting a promo copy of Backtracks through its paces...If this doesn't get you pumped to lay your hands on a copy of Backtracks, you may need to have your pulse checked.

In other Halloween news, member acdc8809 spent an evening carving pumpkins with his girlfriend. The results are damn impressive.


That's a job well done there mate! It may be tough to top, but if any members wish to try, we'd be glad to feature a gallery of AC/DC pumpkin carvings in this space in a few weeks. So have at it, and post your results here.

On the awards front, AC/DC was named one of three finalists for "Top Tour" and "Top Draw" honors at the upcoming 2009 Billboard Touring Awards. It's obvious to us here at ACDC.com who had the most badass tour of the year, but we'll wait to see who takes home the top prizes when they're handed out on Nov 5th.
