The Week in AC/DC
It's back to business for AC/DC, as their Black Ice
World Tour continues to tear down houses across the USA. Last week, fans
in Atlanta, Greensboro, and New Orleans were treated to all the overwhelming
sights and sounds of Acca Dacca in action. Tonight, the band will take it to
Jacksonville before heading west to Dallas, Oklahoma City, and Austin.
As always, The Week In AC/DC breaks down the action, bringing fans highlights from the gigs and beyond. Here goes...
Our mates at Blabbermouth posted an item this
week featuring some behind-the-scenes footage from the band's photo shoot for
the Black Ice album. The shots are by the legendary Guido Karp,
and it's a hell of an interesting thing to watch Guido at work, and to see a
side of the band that's not normally seen by fans. Check it out here.
Here's a report from Metal Underground about the
AC/DC show in New Orleans this week:
"I honestly thought the day would never come when I would see the legendary AC/DC in person. They haven't been my way in years. But, like a message from God (or Satan), I received the news that indeed the duck-walking schoolboy would be visiting my town. My worn-out copy of AC/DC Live at Donington gave me high hopes of an incredible show that I prayed (to Satan) the aging men could still pull off. They not only equaled the spectacle, but far exceeded it, and it was one of the most energetic, loud and stunning shows I've ever seen."
We couldn't agree more! If everyone had as good a time as this reviewer, it must have been a hell of a night in the Big Easy. To read the full review from NOLA, click here.
Finally, with Halloween this weekend, the AC/DC Store has a hell of a deal up their sleeves to offer fans. For one weekend only, the price of all items in the Shirts and Rosie's Boutique departments of the AC/DC Store are being slashed, sliced, cut and chopped by .66.
This monster of a deal only lasts one weekend, from now to 11:59 PM (ET) on Sunday, November 1, so make sure you strike while the flames are still burning.
Better yet, we're dealin' out a special treat to each of the first 50 orders of or more. If you play your cards right and act fast, you could be dealing from the bottom of the pack in no time, and have no fear...These cards have never been shuffled before.
Have a devilish Halloween...Til next week...
