AC/DC will be returning to Atlanta in September to play their 20th gig in the city. Since their first gig on November 27, 1977 in the city’s Capri Theater with an audience of approximately 700 people, the band have gone on to play all the great venues around the city including Symphony Hall, Club Agora, Fox Theatre, The Omni (AC/DC played this now demolished indoor arena 9 times!), Phillips Arena and the Westin Peachtree Plaza. The last time the band played Atlanta was on leg 3 of their 2009 Black Ice Tour on October 23rd.
Their set list included:
Rock 'n' Roll Train
Hell Ain't a Bad Place to Be
Back in Black
Big Jack
Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap
Shot Down in Flames
Thunderstruck
Black Ice
The Jack
Hells Bells

War Machine
Dog Eat Dog
Anything Goes
You Shook Me All Night Long
T.N.T.
Whole Lotta Rosie

Encore:
Highway to Hell
For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)
Fun Atlanta facts: The only times the band played “TNT” on their 1979 Highway To Hell US tour were at the 2 Atlanta shows at Club Agora on May 24th and 25th! And more recently, fans will remember that the Axl Rose and AC/DC rehearsed at Avatar Rehearsal Studios in the capital city late March… so the gig on Sept 1st is sure to be filled with ROCK N ROLL DAMNATION!
